Handmade Candles for Sale - A Buyers Guide

Handmade candles. Just the name conjures up a picture of quality. But as a buyer what should you be looking for?

It is a fair assumption that all candles are made from candle wax and that all are manufactured from the same type of wax. However this is not the case.

Some candle waxes are better than others which is why you will find cheap candles for sale that do not perform anywhere nearly as well as those with a higher price tag. Even at the higher price range there is a difference in the make up of the wax. For example, a very popular candle for dinner parties is the Sherwood dinner candle but there are two types of that candle available. They look the same, burn for the same time and are both smokeless and dripless. So what is the difference? The slightly higher priced version for use with candle shades and the other not, use the wrong candle with shades and you get more light than you bargained for! The explanation is that the one not used with shades is manufactured using a wax that burns hotter and can is a less costly mix.

In the case of handmade candles they do not come any better than those made with 100% beeswax. Two of the highest quality are in the Heritage Candle range by Price's Candles. The superb beeswax dinner candles and beeswax pillar candles.

What makes these two excellent candles exceptional is that they are smokeless dripless candles.

Smokeless candles are not only a great benefit when many lit at the same time for a large dinner party but also make an intimate dinner for two a much more pleasant experience.

The benefit of dripless candles is that more of the precious wax is used for the purpose intended and not wasted by pouring down the side and it reduces the risk of damage to your table setting.

If you are looking for the highest quality handmade candles then look no further than these hand poured 100% beeswax candles.
